Polymer samples based on hydroxyl terminated caprolactone ether and Desmodur N-100 were synthesized and characterized by various methods. All samples cured well. The curing reaction was monitored by FTIR, and an important result was that the curing rate seemed to be too fast for application in large scale rocket motor propellants. It was, however, pointed out that several actions can be taken in order to obtain a suitable pot life for such applications. DMA measurement indicated that the glass transition temperature was close to -70°C. TGA showed that the polymer had good thermal stability up to 250°C.en_GB
