| dc.description.abstract | This report describes a conceptual solution for information and integration services for Command
and Control in a short-term view (2008). We have used a long-term vision for 2014 as a basis, and
from this derived a recommended solution for 2008. This will make the short-term solution a
foundation for further expansion.
In 2008, the goal is to reach a flexible suite of services supporting bi-directional information
sharing. Key elements are Service-Oriented Architecture based on open standards, a set of core
services, and a Community of Interest (COI) for Command and Control. In the long-term vision
additional elements are introduced. There will be more Community of Interests with respective
ontologies and services. Also dynamic composition of the system and flexible security based on
