A model for the configuration of and access to the common operational picture at a high level of command is described, in the context of Network Centric Warfare. The main focus is on the application that gives the user of the picture access to the information infrastructure. The model described is at a conceptual level, but can be used as a basis to identify specific requirements for systems to cover these functions. NATO Corporate Data Model is used as basis for the examples. An object-oriented view of the model is presented. This report deals a lot with the meta data level, which would require some extensions to be captured in NCDM, or, a separate model can be created to handle metadata. This report needs to be followed up by experiments to test the concept presented.en_GB
