Kraftmarkedets føringer for sårbarheten i norsk kraftforsyning
Abstract
The report examinates the Norwegian electric power supply market with a special focus on vulnerability. Since the 1990
Energy Act deregulated the Norwegian electric power market, the setting for the participants in the Norwegian power
system has changed radically. Business economics lead the way in what has now become an open market with a joint
Nordic power exchange.
In this context the vulnerability-question arises. Will the companies, with their "new-found" economic focus, create
earnings at the sacrifice of vulnerability?
Key issues in the report are:
§ the effects of the Monopoly Law, which provides the framework for the power-distribution companies
§ the Norwegian electric power-balance
§ the development towards an integrated European power market
