The aim of this project has been to develop five simulation models for use in education and training of students in various Norwegian Defence schools. The models are developed according to the concept for minimalist decision training, where the core concept is to simplify the commander’s environment by compressing both time and space. Five different simulation models have been developed, and each is addressing a particular problem regarding different commando and intensity level, and functional area. Students have tested the models with great success, and both oral and written feedback has reflected their satisfaction. The objective setting of each model is to develop the players’ insight in consequences of different actions and improve their ability to detect critical factors and good solutions. All the models are completed in accordance with the project description. Statements from the chief of FSTS and results from model testing indicate that this project has fulfilled the ambition of implementing higher-level decision training in the Norwegian Defence.en_GB
