In order to evaluate the effect of smart artillery ammunition, three separate methods have been developed. They are all described in this report. The methods have different areas of applications. For realistic, complex situations, the method involving stochastic simulation is best suited. When performing parameter studies, the method involving exact mathematical formulas is desired. The deterministic model was meant to be a fast alternative to the stochastic simulation, but proved to be slower. However, it is described here since some of the principles examined in the work with this model might prove useful later In addition to the development of these methods, attempts have been made to optimise the firing pattern in given scenarios. Standard methods for optimisation have been applied, and two simple routines for optimisation have been developed and tested. These methods, as well as the results from the tests, are documented in this report.en_GB
