This report presents a description of the Norwegian civil aviation, as well as a discussion of emerging trends and future developments in this system. In combination with descriptions of Norwegian road transport, sea transport and rail transport the report provides the basis for FFI’s current vulnerability analysis of the Norwegian transport system. Norway’s transport system is getting increasingly complex, partly due to a large-scale implementation of electronic components and information systems. Workforce reductions and efficiency improvements dominate the development of the transport sector. Norway is also becoming increasingly dependent on foreign transporters and international regulations and policies.en_GB
